NEXT COURSE STARTS JULY 2017

The course will start at our accredited school in Newcastle week beginning 10 July 2017 and end 18 August 2017 – 6 weeks of classes.

The course will run on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, 10:00 to 13:00 from Tuesday 11 July to Friday 18 August.

If you would prefer to take this course at our premises in Sunderland or elsewhere, please  contact us.  This is dependent on student demand

Please note that each class ‘hour’ is 55 minutes, to allow for a short break in the middle of each class. This allows 11 hours of class time each week, for 6 weeks (excluding holidays).

What is Cambridge English: First preparation? Action Language Cambridge English: First preparation prepares student for the Cambridge English: First (FCE) exam, an internationally recognised exam taken by students who plan to study or work in English. The test covers general and academic English at B2 level (for good independent users of English)

What will I study? The course will cover all four parts of the Cambridge English: First; reading and use of English, writing, listening and speaking, using a range of materials including test questions. You will cover the language (grammar, vocabulary etc.,) required for a good score in the exam, and in English generally at this level.

My English isn’t good, can I still do this course? The Cambridge English: First assesses students who aim to be good independent users of English. We therefore recommend that students are ready to study at B2 level (UK Skills for Life ESOL Level 1) before starting the course. Before you register for the course, we will arrange a test to check your level.

How much does it cost? £360 including a course book.
Fees can be paid in cash at our office or online via bank transfer (see fees). It is also possible to pay in instalments via direct debit – the fee must be paid in full by the middle of the course.

How big are the classes? The minimum size is 6 and the maximum is 12.

How old must I be? The minimum age is 18

How can I join the class? If you are interested, please contact us or come and see us so that we can check your level and advise you.

How do I take the exam? Action Language Pro Newcastle is not an examination centre, so you will have to take the exam at another centre. This will cost around £120-£140, depending on the centre you go to. Please go to our links page to find out more from Cambridge English about exam dates and centres.

What happens if I pay for a course and can’t complete it?  If you need to cancel, we will provide a refund, minus a £10 admin fee, up to one week before the start of the course.  Once the course has started we are unable to offer refunds, but please come and see us if you are having problems and we can try to help.

Where can I find out more? You can read our Student handbook, look at the information for Students or contact us
